BodyTite™ skin tightening treatment is now offered by the Upper East Side (Manhattan, NYC) board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Adam Schaffner. BodyTite™ is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure available at our premier NYC surgery center located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. BodyTite™ utilizes the most innovative and cutting-edge thermal energy technology to offer patients a non-surgical, minimally invasive body contouring and fat coagulating alternative to traditional excisional surgery. BodyTite™ is most commonly employed to treat the stomach, thighs, arms, or buttocks, but may be used on any part of the body with a surplus of skin or fat. The results last up for up to 10 years!
BodyTite™ produces results similar to an arm lift, a thigh lift, liposuction, or abdominoplasty without the hassle of excessive downtime, scarring, or major excisional surgery.
The BodyTite™ procedure consists of two probes; the inner probe goes under the skin via small perforations (made as entry points for the inner probe) and the outer probe glides across the top of the skin parallel to the inner probe. The two probes are connected by a handle for your board certified plastic surgeon to guide both probes during your minimally invasive BodyTite™ treatment.
Consultation
You will have an initial consultation with our top notch NYC board certified plastic surgeon where you will collaborate with him to create a custom treatment plan based on your needs and medical history. Once you and your best in class plastic surgeon determine that BodyTite™ is the best fit for your needs, your plastic surgeon will outline the procedure and schedule you for a BodyTite™ treatment at your earliest convenience. Your doctor may discuss with you the possibility of combining BodyTite™ treatment with light liposuction for faster results if needed.
Procedure
Your top of the line board certified plastic surgeon will perform the minimally invasive BodyTite™ procedure at our premier NYC surgery center located on the Upper East Side, Manhattan. After a local anesthetic is applied to the target areas, your doctor will insert a minuscule tube under the skin and thermal energy is utilized to heat up fatty tissue in order to reduce unwanted fat and tighten skin on the desired target areas. This procedure is safe, highly effective, and specifically designed to minimize fat, tighten skin, and contour targeted areas on the patient’s body without the need for major excisional surgery.
Your top rated plastic surgeon will carefully (and painlessly) move the BodyTite™ probes across your desired target areas in conjunction with the inserted cannula to provide sufficient thermal heat to the necessary affected areas and effectively remove unwanted fat and sagging skin. Your plastic surgeon will provide you with a compression garment to wear for the first 48 hours and may recommend nighttime usage for a short period of time to reduce swelling and provide sufficient post-procedure body support.
Recovery
The BodyTite™ treatment recovery is minimal with swelling usually only lasting up to a week. There may be tenderness and numbness around affected areas. Intense exercise should be avoided for the first 48 hours after treatment and you may need to take 2-5 days off of work to recover. Avoid wearing makeup for the first 48 hours while the compression garment is on. Minimal numbness on and around the affected area is completely normal and may last for the first few months. Many patients see results immediately and the skin will continue to tighten and conform as time goes on, with more obvious results apparent within four months of your BodyTite™ treatment.
